Those of you who have insurance don't need me to tell you how useless and frustrating it can be to try to use it. The reason I accept insurance on that other site is because they obtained credentials for me to be an approved provider on their platform. They process all claims, which is mind-blowingly complicated. Hospitals and healthcare provider offices employ people whose only job is processing insurance claims. On Wildwater, I'm a solo practioner and don't have the time or knowledge to process insurance. My fees per session are often less than your copays or coinsurance, and they are considerably lower than most private practice therapists. I'm happy to provide a superbill, which is a generic statement of medical expense and diagnosis/es.
